What's Included

What's included in scooter tire service

Scooter tires wear faster than bike tires because the tires are small and the contact patch is hot. We service the full range from single tube swaps to full solid tire conversions.

  • Tube replacement for pneumatic tires (8", 8.5", 10", 11")
  • Tire replacement and mounting with proper seating
  • Solid tire / honeycomb tire conversion (no more flats)
  • Puncture sealant install for tubeless-ready scooters
  • Valve stem and valve core replacement
  • Mobility scooter pneumatic and foam-filled tire service
  • Rim and tire inspection for sidewall damage and bead integrity

Should I go solid?

Solid tires (also called honeycomb or airless) never go flat, never need pumping, and last 3 to 5 times as long. The tradeoff is a slightly harsher ride on rough surfaces and a heavier rim at low speeds.

For commuters dealing with thorns, staples, and glass in the bike lane, solid tires pay for themselves within a season. For riders who prioritize comfort on long rides, we recommend upgraded pneumatic tires with puncture-resistant casing instead.

Common Questions

Tire Repair & Replacement questions, answered.

Do you stock Xiaomi M365 tires?

Yes. We keep 8.5" pneumatic tubes and tires in stock for Xiaomi M365, Pro, and Pro 2, plus the drop-in solid tire conversions if you want to eliminate flats permanently.

What about Segway Ninebot tires?

We stock 10" tubes and tires for the Segway ES2, ES4, F-series, and MAX G30/G2/G3, along with compatible solid tire options.

How much does a solid tire conversion cost?

A full conversion on a typical 2-tire scooter runs $120 to $200 depending on model and tire choice. That's often less than the labor cost of repairing two flats over a year.

Are mobility scooter tires different?

Yes. Mobility scooters use flat-free foam-filled tires or larger pneumatic tires (8" to 12"). We service both and stock the most common sizes for Pride, Drive, and Golden scooters.

My scooter has tubeless tires. What's different?

Tubeless scooter tires use sealant to stay inflated, and can usually be plugged from small punctures without removing the tire. We do proper plug-and-seal repairs and full tire swaps with fresh sealant.
