Most quality Li-ion scooter batteries are rated for 500 to 800 full charge cycles before capacity drops below 80% of new. Real-world life is typically 2 to 5 years depending on usage and storage habits.
Mobility scooter SLA batteries typically last 12 to 24 months of regular use, or up to 36 months if properly maintained. Stored scooters often need new batteries after one winter because SLA self-discharges.
Sometimes. A battery that's been deeply discharged but otherwise healthy can often be brought back with a controlled slow charge. A battery with damaged cells cannot be revived. We test before we replace.
