What's Included

What's included in suspension service

Florida sand and year-round riding are hard on suspension. Sticky seals, harsh strokes, and loss of small-bump sensitivity are all signs it's time.

  • Fork lowers service: seal swap, foam ring replacement, fresh lower oil
  • Air can service for air-sprung forks and shocks
  • Full fork rebuild: damper service, spring swap, complete refresh
  • Rear shock service: seal swap, IFP rebuild, oil refresh
  • Coil spring and air spring swaps
  • Setup tuning: air pressure, rebound, and compression set for your weight and riding style
  • Spring and damper upgrades matched to your weight and riding style

Service intervals matter

Most suspension manufacturers spec a lowers service every 50 hours of ride time and a full rebuild every 100 to 200 hours. Almost no one does this, and forks get harsh, sticky, and leaky long before the next bike purchase.

For riders putting on steady mileage, we recommend a lowers service every 6 months and a full rebuild once a year. Your fork will ride like new for the life of the bike.

Common Questions

Suspension Service questions, answered.

What forks and shocks do you service?

RockShox (Pike, Lyrik, Yari, Zeb, Domain, Recon), Fox (32, 34, 36, 38, 40), Marzocchi (Z1, Z2, Bomber), SR Suntour (XCR, Raidon, Durolux), DVO (Diamond, Onyx), and Manitou (Mezzer, Mattoc). Rear shocks including Fox DPX2, Float X, DHX, RockShox Super Deluxe, and Marzocchi Bomber.

How do I know if my fork needs service?

Signs: oil weeping from the seals, harsh or sticky stroke, loss of small-bump sensitivity, rebound or compression adjustments that don't seem to do anything, or exceeded service interval. If you're not sure, we'll inspect it.

What is a lowers service vs a full rebuild?

Lowers service: pull the lower legs, clean, replace foam rings and oil, install new wipers/seals. Refreshes the parts that wear first. Full rebuild: lowers service plus damper service and air spring service. Restores the fork to like-new feel and rebound behavior.

Can you tune my suspension for my riding?

Yes. Air pressure, rebound, and compression should all be set based on rider weight, riding style, and terrain. We dial it in during service and give you a sag and pressure card to reference.

Is bike-specific suspension necessary?

For lighter bikes (under 50 lb) with moderate use, standard suspension works. For heavier bikes and aggressive riding, bike-rated forks and shocks with stiffer tunes and more damping last longer. We can swap springs or re-tune a damper to bike spec if your existing fork is capable.
