Terms and conditions.
These terms apply to every order placed on ScooterMotion.com. By checking the box at checkout and placing an order, you agree to them. Last updated September 24, 2026.
1. What you are agreeing to
These Terms of Sale, together with our Returns, Shipping, Warranty, and Privacy policies, form the agreement between you and Scooter Motion for each order. The version posted when you place your order is the version that applies to it.
2. How we communicate
Customer service, order changes, returns, warranty claims, and disputes are handled through our contact form, and we reply by email. You agree to receive order and service communications from us electronically, and you agree that our email records, together with your order record, are an accurate record of our communications. Please use an email address on your order and in our contact form that you check.
3. Check your order before you buy
- You are responsible for reviewing your cart before you place an order, including the item, the model it fits, the color, and the quantity.
- If you ordered the wrong item or placed a duplicate order by mistake, contact us right away. If the order has not shipped, we will cancel it at no charge. Once it has shipped, it is handled as a return under our Returns policy, and the fees described there apply.
- If you are not sure a part or battery fits your scooter, send us your model through our contact form before ordering and we will help you choose.
4. Installation and use are your responsibility
Many of our products are replacement parts that must be installed correctly, including circuit boards, switches, batteries, chargers, and seals. Installation is done at your own risk. If you are not comfortable doing it, use a qualified technician.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, incorrect wiring, a wrong or modified charger, water getting into a unit because of improper sealing or maintenance, modification, or misuse is not a defect. It is not covered by our returns, refund, or warranty terms, and it is not a basis for a refund or payment dispute. Electronic parts are non-returnable once installed.
Sea scooters are used in the water, and water activities carry risk. You agree to follow the manufacturer's instructions, depth ratings, and safety guidance, and you use the products at your own risk.
5. Delivery
Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier marks your package as delivered to the shipping address on your order. Damage, missing items, or wrong items must be reported by email within 48 hours of delivery, as described in our Shipping and Returns policies.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time before you order. If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information, we may cancel the order and refund any payment. By placing an order, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the payment method and authorize us to charge it for the full order total.
7. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before you contact your bank. Most problems can be solved quickly by email, and a chargeback slows everything down for both of us.
- Contact us first. Before you dispute a charge with your card issuer or payment provider, you agree to contact us through our contact form with your order number and a description of the problem, and to give us 10 business days to respond and try to resolve it.
- Disputes that do not qualify. Accidental or duplicate orders, a change of mind, items that were delivered as tracked, and damage caused by installation, misuse, or modification are handled under these terms and our Returns policy. Disputing a charge for these reasons, or without contacting us first, is a breach of these terms.
- We respond with records. We contest disputes we believe are unfounded. You agree that we may provide your card issuer and payment processor with your order details, your acceptance of these terms at checkout, the date, time, and IP address of your order, carrier tracking and delivery confirmation, and all emails between us, including your own statements about the product.
- Amounts still owed. If a charge is reversed while you keep the merchandise, or the item was damaged by you, the purchase price remains owed. We may seek payment of that amount, plus any dispute fees charged to us and reasonable collection costs, where the law allows.
- Future orders. We may refuse or cancel future orders from anyone who files a dispute that is not made in good faith.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under federal or state law, including your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act to dispute billing errors and unauthorized charges.
8. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Scooter Motion's total liability for any claim related to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Warranty coverage is described on our Warranty page and is set by each manufacturer. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated terms are posted. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
